Whitney Curtis, blogger over at The Curtis Casa, has been such a joy to get to know over the past couple weeks. I’ve been enamored with her sprit her blog, and really, her instagrams! They’re just fabulous—take the pictures in this post as just a sneak peek into what you’ll find over there! Can you get over that desk, and the view? I know I can’t. She is a fellow Georgian blogger, and I’m ecstatic to have her over to my casa today. Now, enough jibber-jabber, let’s get to know Whitney a bit, shall we?
Hi there! My name is Whitney, and I live in Atlanta, GA. I grew up in a small town in North Carolina and moved to the biggest city in the south about three years ago when I married my husband, Allen. We just celebrated our third anniversary! I’m a non-profit fundraiser by day and a lifestyle blogger by night. On a normal day, you can find me watering my hydrangeas or eating a homemade tomato tart. On my blog, I enjoy sharing DIY projects, our efforts to transform a little dirt patch to a backyard garden, and baking a pie every month!
I get jazzed about lots of things, in no particular order: house projects, organization, new shoes, being outside, fancy handwriting, coffee, photography, road trips and spending time with friends and family.
I find inspiration when I’m spending time outdoors, when I’m flipping through the latest design mags and when my Mom and I get stuck on the phone talking on and on about the next house project we can tackle!
The dipped leg trend has been everywhere on the blogosphere and it looked so easy, I really wanted to try it myself. I kept hoping I’d find something at the thrift store but nothing came up after a couple of months. Finally, I popped by my favorite neighborhood thrift, on the phone with my sister, not really paying attention, and bam! A perfect tripod table for a measly $3.00. I snatched it right up! It’s currently on my screened in porch, where I sit and unwind almost every afternoon after work. Usually with a glass of wine!
Fake it til you make it! I have these pencils with this silly saying on my desk, but I think it’s so true. It’s always a good reminder when I need a little boost of confidence!
If you liked what you saw here, please make sure to stop by Whitney’s blog and say hello! Big thank you’s to Whitney for sharing this little look into your life with Pinegate Road!
