I had a little adventure last weekend with this one (remnants of which are still lurking in my kitchen). This recipe is brought to you by the very talented Martha Stewart (a figure who was constantly in conversation growing up…my mom had quite the obsession and was even labeled ‘Martha-Jane’ in town). Cutting up this gourd was so much fun and the perfect start to the fall season. It filled my apartment with an amazing scent all weekend, and tasted good to boot!
I didn’t too many substitutions, just fat free half and half instead of the full fat kind. EVOO instead of vegetable oil.
The majority of this is now frozen, waiting for cold fall/winter nights where I’m lazy and don’t want to cook.
