Yes! All the standard capabilities you love in wordpress — like amazing SEO, easy content creation, and powerful plugins — are available to you. These are all completely based in wordpress, Showit just becomes how you create the design. If you’ve used Wordpress before, you’ll know how you have to activate a theme. Once we create your new site, your design will be a ‘theme’ that you have activated in Wordpress, and everything else is the same! If you need to make design changes, you’ll go to Showit to easily make those, and we have a video showing you how. All content and your pages are created in Wordpress.
WILL THIS BE A WORDPRESS SITE?
Just as well as any other wordpress site — which is great! Showit simply becomes your design, and all of your main SEO will be coming from the content you’re creating on your blog. We always install Yoast, which is our preffered SEO optimization plugin for wordpress to help make sure your content is working for your website ranking. We also go over how to update any SEO optimization on the Showit side of your website, which is super simple!
HOW DO THESE SITES RANK WITH SEO?
You will need to purchase a Showit subscription. They become your host, and also your tech support after our 7 days of support is through post-launch. You can check out their pricing plans here:
Any other fees would be outside applications you would be using, like an online scheduler, a mailing list host, etc. These are up to you and how you want to run your business, and are never required!
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES I’LL BE PAYING FOR OVER TIME WITH THIS SITE?
Yep! Showit is the simplest website platform we have found, that gives you incredible customization. Like learning any new platform, there will be a learning curve, and we provide a quick and easy tutorial going over your website choice to help teach you how to edit things on your own! No need to hire things out, unless you want to save the time. Also, if you never want to make design changes, you’ll never have to go into Showit! You can upload new blog content directly into wordpress, and be good to go. Oh, we also include a video walkthrough for wordpress as well, in case you’re new to the platform!
